I'm trying to get an old DOS game to work on Virtual PC set up in DOS.
This particular game (Rebel chess) ran under windows 98 DOS, so I went
to work, fdisk/formatting virtual image, copyed boot files/directorie(s)
etc..

I install VPC 2004 under WXP SP2 computer
I create vm with MS-DOS 6.22 : Run OK

gigs of RAM, a 5400 rpm hard drive, and a rather crappy video sub-system.

Host running WinXP Pro SP2 with ZoneAlarm free as firewall.  Host has cable
modem with hardware router.
Guest is Win98SE.
VPC 2004 with additions running on host.

2 questions:
Where is VPC Express? A RC should be feature complete, AFAIK So:Is VPC
Express ever going to surface in Vista?
VPC 2004 SP1 has/causes major rendering problems when run on top of Vista.

I notice that when you open Virtual PC Guest OS, it always get the Host PC
system time. Is it possible that system time will not be captured by guest
PC?

Can anyone suggest some tools for reducing the size of a virtual disk?  I've
read that if you can zero out unused sectors the disk will compact down quite
a bit.
I've heard of Acronis, but was wondering what other tools might exist.

Anyone heard any rumors about when the Virtual Machine Additions for Vista
RC1 might be available? I'm still sitting on my beta 2 image, waiting to
hear. Last time I checked on connect, a few days ago, there was no mention.

I have a Windows XP Pro has host using Virtual PC 2004 SP1 and an W2K3 SP1
as guest OS. I map a shared folder between host and guest OS and try to copy
a large file (install.wim of 2,4 GB) from host to guest.
After 5-6 minutes of copying with 30-40 seconds remaining it returns an

I'm running VPC 2004 on WinXP SP2.  I have 1.5GB RAM and have allocated
512MB to the VPC.  My system is using about 85% of available memory
when the VPC is running.  My hard drive is 4200RPM (?- less than 5200).
I have been putting Windows Updates on the XP installed to the VPC.  It

I've recently been asked to install serveral browsers on the same machine.  
Different versions and what not.  I thought by using this program I could
install serveral versions of the same browser without having the previous
versions modified.
