Hi All!!
i've intalled VM in my Machine, im trying to get the data from oracle
database from VM through .Net Application. Im getting "ORA-12560:
TNS:protocol adapter error"

I had installed a new Windows 98SE virtual machine but i cannot  connect to
the internet  It has TCP/IP configured with the Obtain an IP address
automatically.  On the virtual machine network settings is configured to NAT
(also had tried setting it directly to the Intel network ...

I would love my VM Additions Trio32/64 PCI (732/764) Adapter to do 8 MB
(design spec video ram of 8MB).
I can only see my adapter using 4 MB.  How do I make it use 8 MB or more so
I can play games...which is the only reason I'm doing this anyway!!!

I have read many posts and tried many things but can't get VPC to
recognize my CD. I have tried both Primary and the default, Secondary.
It will open the try with either setting but but won't read anything. I
also tried creating and loading an ISO image with no luck. I was able

I notice that the resource properties for the vmpc graphics driver are
accessable via the WinXP\Vmpc\Win98 control panel. Subject to the physical
hardawre, can these settings be adjusted to increase the amount of graphic
memory available to the vmpc?

I am trying to install vista into vpc. I am at the hard drive screen and do
not see the name of the virtual hard drive, instead I see Disk 0 Partition 1.
Is that partition of my actual HD or of the virtual one? I dont want to
install Vista on my HD, only on VPC. Please help!!

   I have an install for ws2003; and vpc2007 will not see it;at all in my
cd/dvd drive.
Booting it from my laptop proper;my latop sees it. I keep getting-insert the
proper boot media.

I've problems installing XP Professional on a virtual machine.
I get the message 'Setup can not read the CD-ROM, or the CD-ROM isn't a legal
Windows CD-ROM'. The message is shown up after uploading driver files from the

I have VPC2004 installed and I have about 10 VM:s.
Now that VPC2007 is out for beta I would like to test it, but I don't
want to lose my old machines, so I need to know if VPC2004 and VPC2007
can co-exist on the same PC (XP-Pro SP2 on a Dell Dimension 9100 with

I wanted to check out the basic version of aero (know glass is not supported)
but when I go to appearance aero basic is not a choice.  i have the VPC
additions installed and have the S3 listed as my video card.  Is there
something else I need to do to make a choice on my list.

Anyone know where to get the Virtual Machine Additions that help Vista Run
faster on Virtual PC 2004 sp1?  Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 Beta doesn't seem
to be on https://connect.microsoft.com anymore.
