I would like to use Virtual PC to transition from XP to VISTA and VISTA 64 bit. Do I need to run VISTA 64 as the host to be able to have VISTA 64 as a guest O/S with Virtual PC 2007? Thanks

What is the preferred OS for the host that will run VPC2004? Memory and hard disk space for the host is flexible. Options are WinServer2003 or WinXPPro. Virtual machines will be: WinXPPro, WinServer2000, Win2000Pro.

I'm thinking about using VPC on our training PCs to get some stabilisation to them and make it easier to restore them to a "known state" as & when required, but I'm not sure of the best way to handle things from a domain-membership perspective.

I recent installed a new copy of Windows 2003 in Virtual Server 2005. When I try and turn off the guest OS, the system hangs when it shutting down. I get to the point where the logs off screens comes up and I get the grey screen.

I have installed Virtual PC on a Dell E520 with 250GB serial ATA hard drive. When I place Windows Media operating system to begin the install, I get a error message "Unable to find hard drives on the computer". Does Virtual PC support the 250GB hard dirve?

I tried installing Win98 (original) in VPC04, and everything seemed to go OK until the final restart of the Win98 OS, at which point it asked me for the install CD again, and said it couldn't find a bunch of files (drivers, maybe other files).
