I have a Dell Latitude D820 notebook. It has an Intel Mobile 945PM Express chip set and an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7600 @ 2.33GHz. Machine has 2GB memory and is running Microsoft Windows XP Professional. I have been using Virtual PC 2004 quite happily for a couple of months now.

I've never used VPC. I have an old DOS program I can't replace. After several minutes running (by itself) on XP Pro SP2 (Intel Mobile Centrino 1700 - 512 memory), it gets extremely slow reacting to key presses - pausing several seconds.

I have XP running as a guest on Vista host. Is this right if I want to move files between the host and guest: I'm supposed to setup sharing on the Vista machine and then I can connect from the XP host like this \\vistahost\sharename

My host guest(XP sp2) has a VIA VT6105 Rhine III FAST Ethernet Adapter,but the guest os(XP sp2) just cannot recognize,instead it just lists an unrecognized Ethernet. So cannot install a driver,and cannot access the internet by LAN.

I know with VM Ware I can create snap shots of a default image of a server so that I can test out products, how do you do this in Virtual PC 2007? Is there a way to copy an image and then create a new Virtual Machine from this copied image.
