Hi Folks -- I recently built a couple of Vista VMs using MSDN bits. They're asking to activate, of course. I think MSDN offers 10 activations, per SKU (home, busn, ultimate, etc), correct? I'm wondering what are the implications for archiving the VMC/VHD file

The installation stops when it is trying to copy a file \vs\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\GuiDebug\shortcutCLRDbg32.txt. Error says cannot open the file. I tried to open it manually, the same error is displayed.

Does anyone have any good references for data/whitepapers/surveys etc on the ongoing support costs of virtual rather than physical servers? We operate in an outsourced environment where we pay our outsourcer $Xk per month for every windows server they support.
