Problem connecting to internet with Virtual PC 2007, on windows XP18 Oct 2007 12:48 GMT5
Hi there, I am having difficulty connecting to the internet using Virtual PC
2007, and Windows XP Pro.  I suspect it's something to do with zone alarm
which is running on the host and guest machines.
A few posts mention an overview of a  solution, but I think I need a little
key repeat and mouse pointer problems running openSUSE on VPC 2007.18 Oct 2007 12:26 GMT5
When typing at normal speed keys will repeat.  Say for example, I type
www.yahoo.com in the browser.  It will end up typed as www.yaahhhhhhoooooooooooo...
If I type it very slow, no problem.  I have no idea what could be
going on.  Also the mouse pointer is ridiculously slow to ...

VPC image loses its domain credentials17 Oct 2007 19:16 GMT2
I run three different VPC's for three diffferent uses in my work.  I some
times save the image after making changes but for the most part I delete all
changes.  What I have found is that on occasion when I delete the changes, I
will lose my trust with the domain.  I then have to ...

Hibernating the host17 Oct 2007 19:05 GMT5
Is it necessary, or advisable, to save the state or shut down a running
guest before hibernating the host?
I've tried it and it seems to work OK (the guest is still running when I
resume the host from hibernation), but I would like to be sure before I

Keyboard not responding for several strokes17 Oct 2007 10:26 GMT4
Frequently Virtual PC displays behaviour whereby, when you first focus back
to the VM window, the keyboard does not respond for the first few key
presses. Tapping a few keys eventually gets it to respond, and then it's fine
until you switch to another window in the host and back ...

Using a Guest OS as a Server16 Oct 2007 19:00 GMT25
At the moment I test my Perl CGI scripts by using a dedicated PC on my

well but I have been wondering if I can do this without the ...
IS VPC the way to go for beta software?16 Oct 2007 01:47 GMT7
I am about to build a new PC that will be MS Office and VB.Net development
platform.  It would be nice to be able to try betas of the new Visual Studio
without risk to my day-to-day production set up.  The old PC has motherboard
issues, so it's not a candidate for this.
