| Win64 and Raid configuration | 01 Jun 2005 00:55 GMT | 5 |
I have a Asus Mobo A8N-SLI and I'm trying to configure SATA raid 0. I have used the latest drivers from Nvidia and put them into the setup (F6) and windows sees the drives as one raided drive (yay). However, I then format the drive and install windows 64 on to it - all ok so far. ...

Well I'm building a new system for a customer who wants to keep his system for the next 5 or 6 years. I build him a x64 based machine with the assumption it was the technology of the future. That being said I've had a hell of a time finding the drivers for the hardware. Luckily ...

| My OEM copy was just accepted! | 01 Jun 2005 00:34 GMT | 11 |
It didn't accept the PID with OEM in it, but it DID accept the COA finally! Holy moly it is about time, I was getting really worried. Only took a month! So, if you were in the same boat as me, try the COA now (don't bother with the PID). Hopefully you'll get it working now!

| XP 64 Slow browsing | 31 May 2005 22:53 GMT | 15 |
Have XP64 installed with all the drivers, and while all works browsing is terribly slow compared to the XP Home. I have used the 32 and 64 bit version under XP 64 and both are real slow. The XP Home works very nice. At a lost..

| Remote Desktop | 31 May 2005 21:29 GMT | 9 |
I'm running the remote desktop client from windows 2000. Each time we connect to xp x64 with a different user, xp x64 complains and assigns the user a temporary profile. To correct it, we simply log out and log in back with the same user.

| Beta 1218 Works, RTM doesn't | 31 May 2005 17:34 GMT | 6 |
I had been running x64 CPP Beta build 1069, then 1218 & finally wen I get my hands on the Trial release it gives me a STOP 0*0000007B error. VIA 8237 RAID controller seemed the likely problem, so I tried both the old drivers & the new WHQL ones but.... :-( ( Floppies r fine, ...

| WinRAR flakey? | 31 May 2005 17:29 GMT | 3 |
Whenever I create a new archive, I always run a test to check it. Once in a while, WinRAR reports that there is a CRC-error. Now, this seems to happen whenever more programs run in the background, and I let the check run in the background. Any more people who have noticed this?
