I visit different sites on the net for information on bands and what not.
Mostly concert dates, and checking up on album releases.  I also do searches
for video games and other things like playing online games.  But almost every
site I visit I get a bar at the top saying I need ...
IE 7 Beta public release...31 Jan 2006 21:27 GMT2
This link gets the x86 version.  Strangely, searching for "Internet Explorer 7 x64" does nothing at Microsoft.com.  Just.sits.there.  Go figure.  This download is no big deal to official beta testers and Vista testers, all the same, here it is.  If anyone finds to x64 executable, ...

Every now and then, Windows takes longer than usual to boot. It gets
stuck in the screen with the Windows logo and the pseudo-progress bar.
This bar keeps moving, but the system kind of hangs with no hard disk
activity for a couple of minutes. I tried to do a logged boot from the

Error with Spy Sweeper31 Jan 2006 17:54 GMT4
Ever since I upgraded to Spy Sweeper 4.5.8, when I log in I get an error in
Spy Sweeper that it asks to send the log file to Webroot.  It's some sort of
crash. Yet Spy Sweeper seems to be running ok, I have checked that it
sweeps, etc. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
software not installing31 Jan 2006 16:45 GMT2
I am trying to install a 32 bit software on Windows Server 2003 64 bit
Machine, however it is failing. The reason I found is that, usually when I
install the same software on a 32 bit machine the directory is created in
\Windows\system32. However when I install the same software ...
Software and rumors of software...31 Jan 2006 16:45 GMT5
As always, taken with a grain of salt, but this interview points out that
there may be a Vista CPP release as early as April 2006.
We can always hope...

A little while back I purchased a Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W
and emailed Konica Minolta about 64 bit drivers.
Some time back they responded with:

Too Late! I bought it! HP2600N31 Jan 2006 04:54 GMT11
arggh - I committed to buying the HP colour Laserjet 2600N and then realised
I should check for drivers.
I subsequently found there were no drivers for X64 and did a previous post
about it, to which I received many replies that were very helpful - thanks!

Compile it Win32 - OnFileSendMail() brings up Outlook 2003 as expected.

X64 Drivers30 Jan 2006 22:01 GMT4
The main rule here i have found is if you are looking to purchase anything
for your pc find drivers and make sure you can download them before commiting
to buy, it does mean you are governed as to what you can buy but at least it
will work !
Performance comparison between 2003 and XP ///x3230 Jan 2006 20:09 GMT12
Firs I want to tell you that I already tried windows Vista and XP x64 and I
am disappointed. I think that mising drivers and limited programs usege is
enough. I could mention also several bugs.
Now I am sure it's much better to use 32-bit Windows even i had AMD 3+.
