x64 Server - Memory & Pagefile questions20 Jul 2006 18:32 GMT2
1) I've always configured my servers with a pagefile that's double the size
of RAM, e.g. 1GB memory = 2GB pagefile.  I've never left Windows to manage
the pagefile on its own.  I'm wondering if I should revisit this in x64.  
What are others doing?

When I left click on a desktop icon, I get the window-confirm file deletion.

Is anyone else using the above printer/all-in-one?  I've instead the beta
drivers from HP (and yes I appreciate they won't be the best drivers in the

I'm trying to add IIS after completing an install of Windows 2003 Server R2
x64 Volume Licence and the ISO downloaded from Microsoft doesn't have the
required files to complete the installation.
There are 2439 files in the i386 directory which total 149mb, this seems too

Has anyone had problems with PerfectDisk 7 on x64?  I set it to offline
defrag by C and D drives but didn't when I restarted.  It also errors on my
when I select to defrag D: online.

i recently installed windows vista x86(32 bit) but i was wondering if i
would be able to upgrade it to the 64 bit version, how will i do this and
what benifits are there if i do eg, better graphics? whats the deal with it?

I get this SPTD internal structure data error (event 4) on the event viewer
(system subsection) every time I reboot my PC.

I finally installed the SPTDinst X64 from Daemon Tools
(http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=5) and
solved the error in event viewer.
Had to install it via the command line thing: "sptdinst_x64.exe add"

Well, I decided to buy a E6600 Core Duo 2 CPU and board Asus A5B (and a  
FX7600 Passive PCI-E GFX card), it's on pre-order.
Wondering if anyone has tried Vanderpool virtualization?  As I understand  
it, if you have a CPU with x86 virtulization support, you can run guest
