Downgrade 64bit licence?18 Jul 2006 20:26 GMT3
A few months ago our company bought a 64bit server with Windows 2003
x64 Standard pre-installed by Dell. Recently we've decided we'd like to
used that server for Exchange (since the hardware is much better than
the current Exchange server), but have found out I'll have to wait till
Multi-Boot Config problem with RAID.18 Jul 2006 18:33 GMT8
This system of mine, which has been great dispite it's complications, is
getting to be a bit of a hazzle keeping a RAID and having three or maybe
four different systems with it's own driver ramifications. It's O.K. for
now, but I can see trouble ahead and I have thought about ...
Security Task Manager -like program for x64?18 Jul 2006 10:36 GMT3
Security Task Manager used to show the hidden drivers secretly
installed on my computer. For example, SecureRom or other Dlls. And I
could even remove them. I ran STM on the x64 edition, it only showed 32
applications. Is there any thing like STM that runs on x64?
XP x64 internet access18 Jul 2006 07:11 GMT4
I have run into a weird problem that no one seems to understand.  Last week
32 bit applications including Outlook, Internet Explorer, & AVG Antivirus are
no longer able to access the internet.  Internet Explorer (64 bit) and Deer
Park Alpha 2 have no problem.  Has anyone else had ...
MY TREO WON'T SYNC18 Jul 2006 06:57 GMT3
As mentioned in previous posts, I just received my Acer Ferrari, had quite a
bit of trouble with printers, but got them figured out, but the software for
my TREO will not install, and therefore I can't have it sync. Does anyone
have the x64 with a TREO?

System-resources:Difference between x86/x6417 Jul 2006 23:56 GMT4
There is one - possibly - big thing with my current x64 installation.
Previously, when I make larger search sessions in the net with IE, I was
out of system resources and could no longer open new browsers [somewhere
between 10 and 15]. This happens also to other applications and ...

Nokia Suite doesn't work on x6417 Jul 2006 14:55 GMT1
This is a pain, I heard rumours that the latest version of PC Nokia Suite
would work on x64, but alas I try and try but it doesn't allow me to connect
my Nokia 6680, via cable or Bluetooth.  Any ideas on when this will be fixed
or is there a workaround?
Power management - sometimes works, sometimes doesn't...17 Jul 2006 02:34 GMT8
The title pretty much says it all.
I don't use a screen saver, however I have the power management applet set
to turn off my monitors after 15 minutes (and nothing else).  Most of the
time it works fine, but at others (without any discernable pattern for a
User Name not showing up in Task Manager17 Jul 2006 01:50 GMT24
Okay for a little background, this is of course for Windows XP SP1 x64
edition first of all.  I did an unattended install of my operating system
using what I have always used to do the unattended installs of Windows XP
Professional (SP1, SP1a, SP2, etc) and I skipped all the ...
system terporarily freezes/locks17 Jul 2006 00:30 GMT12
after an initial period of about 20 min. my system freezes for about 10
seconds every 40 to 65 seconds, i.e. mouse, keyboard, screen. After 10 sec's
it all returns to normal. After 1 hr of use, freezing occurs quicker, with
the same 10sec down time. The only other symptom is the ...

Appreciate the Microsoft newsgroups16 Jul 2006 22:31 GMT14
Folks, whatever you think about Microsoft and its relationships with the
public newsgroups, it is light years more mature than Apple's relations with
its forum users.
I have been bantering back and forth on a real and serious issue (MacBook
