I have an issue with Windows XP Pro (64 Bit). My ISP has supplied me with a modem which works perfectly fine on the 32 bit version of Windows but fails to work at all on the 64 bit version. While testing the system the modem tells me that my OS is all the way back at Windows

I'm in the market for a replacement laptop and I'm thinking that as release date gets closer ( especially around winter holiday time) that XP PC's will be VERY low in price to clear the shelves for Vista PC's . Come the Vista release, those pc's are boat anchors for retailers:

Is there any way to tell whether an exe file ix x86 or x64? Not by simple execution of it and looking at the processes running but by inspecting its structure, header or ... Carlos
