I searched the internet and found one program called 'Hotfix backup
remover" from Doug Knox. However it didn't work (didn't show complete
backup files). I wonder whether that is because it doesn't support x64
or it is unregistered.

When I try to use automatic updates with my internet explorer it tells me I
must be running IE 32-bit. However, I AM running IE 32 bit. What's going on?
Is there a way to fix this? How do I install the updates?

I had " previous version" , and "Windows" (X86)  for boot options.
After I installed x64 I had :
1."Previous version"  (legacy boot)
2."Windows"            (which was x64)

After I cleaned up my computer of uneccesary files and did a defrag my
computer is running terrible and I no longer have any restore points back to
before I made that mistake. Why can't I undo what I did or go back to the
prior month for a restore point?

I have 2 questions. I currently have windows XP installed on my desktop
computer. If I install windows vista beta 2 will I lose all of my files
from XP or will they go over to vista. Also question # 2... How easy is
it to go back to windows XP from Vista if I do not like this. ...

I have a lot of icons on my desktop where the images arent there, they have
the basic windows no image icon.
Outlook MSG files and HMTL, HTM files are all missing there icons.
