Folder options missing16 Aug 2006 04:18 GMT16
I loaded xp64 on my new computer. I have no folder options when I open a
folder. I have no address bar, no standard buttons, and no File, Edit, View,
Favorites, Tools, Help toolbar. I hope this is not the look for the new xp64
program.
x64 and Canon MF8170c15 Aug 2006 05:43 GMT2
I was all gung-ho to install x64 on my new Dell workstation.  Everything went
great.  The install was smooth and all seemed well....until I needed to
print.  I've got a Canon MF8170c (color multifunction laser).  Canon doesn't
show it as compatible.  Do I have to fall back to the ...

A question just landed in my in-box, someone who read one of my
contributions somewhere wants to know if his SATA 150 HD will work on his
newly acquired SATA2 only Mobo.
My instinct says that with the suitable motherboard(chipset) driver, it
Soundcard hosed?14 Aug 2006 19:57 GMT12
Right in the middle of playing, I lost sound.  It's a SoundMAX
integrated (onboard) chip/card in a Dell Precision x64 system I have had
about 14 months. System says the driver cannot start because of a
problem with the hardware.

New Camera Available with x64 drivers.14 Aug 2006 06:01 GMT4
The HP Photosmart M425 Digital Camera comes with Windows XP Pro x64 drivers
on the distribution CD.  Updated drivers are also available at HP's website.
The camera will do video and still photos, is very easy to use and accepts a
memory card.  Have fun.
x64 AV's and FW's14 Aug 2006 05:00 GMT19
I'm wondering if there are any "stable" AV's and FW's (AntiVirus' and
Firewalls) for x64 -- I've heard of things like TinyFirewall, but
Windows doesn't recognize it as one. Also, I've tried a few x64
compatible AV's -- But again, Windows doesn't recognize it. Any ideas

We have a web based application that runs in IIS6.0 on windows 2000/2003.  A
client wants to know if it would be possible for us to load our application
on a Windows 2003 64 bit server.  Would our application still work?  Are
these knows incompatabilities between the two?
Word XP & Word 2003 broken in X6413 Aug 2006 19:35 GMT4
Amazingly, when I open up Word, all other windows/folders on the desktop (or
those I open up) can no longer be dragged, resized, minimized, etc. in real
time; rather, all of these operations occur quite slowly.  This slow-down
does not occur with any other Microsoft 2003 ...

Is there any nice 3rd party registry editor for Windows x64? The
built-in regedit.exe is a little bit inconvenient.
