I noticed that Internet Explorer 7 automatically defaults to Outlook Express
when emailing links or pages from within IE7. I tried to change the client
to Microsoft Outlook or Thunderbird but it's impossible to do so.  Why?

So far the beta software from the HP website has not helped with the
scanner functions on either PSC unit and everytime my Dell XPS600
reboots, it attempts to reinstall (which fails).
Come on HP, based on the number of consumers using your products,

Vista, XP x64 Pro or XP Pro... that is the question.09 Aug 2006 22:24 GMT5
I'm a web and graphic deisgner who's been "getting by" with XP Home now for
a long time but as I already have a 64-bit laptop, I'm thinking I made the
leap to something more powerful... especially as I've just set up a server
with domain control that XP Home can't log-in to!

My CD/DVD ROM will not display files when logged in as myself and using my
profile and I am an administrator of my computer.  When I double click on the
CD ROM, nothing happens.  When another user logs into my computer, it works
just fine.

Questions about XP Pro vs. XP Media Edition/XP Home Edition09 Aug 2006 15:22 GMT8
I'm a graphic designer currently using Windows XP Media Edition on a Gateway
PC with an AMD 64bit (4200) processor.  I am told that my computer will run
faster/better/more efficiently with XP professional since it's designed for
the dial core processors.  My computer seems to run ...
Periodic SPAM in NG09 Aug 2006 07:47 GMT2
Folks, it is unfortunately a fact of life that we're going to get nailed
every once in a while with SPAM about almost any possible topic. PLEASE - do

clean it up. Whenever I see this (and you all know I'm ...

Input Method Editor (IME) Woes09 Aug 2006 01:00 GMT2
This problem has been frustrating me for awhile: Trying to switch between the
standard English/US keyboard layout to the Chinese IME (perhaps any IME)
crashes anything that's not native (64-bit), which basically limits the scope
of where I can type Chinese to IEx64 and Notepad or ...
