I've got an Intel Pentium 4 650 Prescott 3.4GHz 64 bit (with HT) proc.  Vista
reports it as a 3.4Ghz but next to that, it says its running at 1.7Ghz.  I

What does Microsoft define as 64 bit compatible? I can install 64bit Vista?
My cpu is 64 bit (which to the best of my knowledge is not)? I can replace

I have set up a dual boot of WinXP x64 Pro and Windows Vista x64.
Absolutely no problems with setting up the network in XP x64, I can see all
the other computers on the network.  However when I boot into Vista x64, I
cannot see the other computers, but it sees the cable internet ...

I am not able to run any defragmenter on this installation of XP Pro x64.  I
have tried the system defrag, Perfect Disk 7.1 and Diskeeper 10.
The GUI for PD never appears but the executables show in Task Manager under
processes.

For those who don't have automatic updates enabled, there are a couple of
updates for Windows XP x64 available (KB's 920685, 922582 and 921883)
There's also an update for Windows Defender.
