I'm sure someone else has already noticed this, but I was amused to see that you cannot run the Vista upgrade advisor against x64 Edition. OTOH, I'm sure MS doesn't feel too concerned, as it probably expects the 64 bit aficionados can take care of themselves. I'm still running ...

Is there any advantages to going from x64 pro to vista. As usual I bought a system with what I thought would be good for several years. Now a new release and I don't know. As a side note, I was using win98 untill I bought this system :)

I tried searching the forum but nothing seemed to match. How can I get support on one of the newest versions of XP (x64) to play Media Center Edition drv-ms files? This can't be this hard to do!! I keep getting an error "trying to download codec"

When did Windows XP X64 come out? The lack of third party support i,e drivers and software reminds me of when I switched from Win 98 SE to Win XP.

Can someone tell me why I cannot install this software. I have upgraded to xp service pack two. When I try to install, I receive an error message, saying, this version of windows cannot be installed on this machine. I have a Dell Inspiron 5160.
