X64 will access internet via 64 bit browser but not 32 bit?15 Nov 2006 06:44 GMT6
this one has stumped me??? (not hard)...
Installed XP 64 and upgraded to IE7 - the 64 bit browser gets right on the
internet no issues - when I launch or windows launches the 32 bit version
the 32 bit browser times out (going to the same page)?   In addition, I am

When I install a 32-bit application in 64-bit Vista, I found if I install it
into directory [Program Files (x86)], the target of shortcuts it created is
[DEVICELETTER:\Program Files\Application Location\etc], but if there is start
in, it's [DEVICELETTER:\Program Files ...

Alllright, not everyone will be interested, but I've just learned that on
top of Visual Studio Express being free for the next year or so, the DDK and
MSDN Library (former subscription!) has been freed as well. Good news! This
you can still see in shops at no trivial cost.

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+. I just realized that I
accidentally installed the 32-bit vista operating system instead of the

I am experiencing flickering in graphics (e.g. FS2004) after installing a
Dual Core AMD 4200+ processor.
No overclocking, everything was fine before the processor swaping.
Installed the newest Nvidia rc2 drivers to no avail.

My network adapter (Motherboard ASUS A8N-SLI, socket 939) starts last during
boot on Windows XP x64 and Vista x64.
The icon shows up quickly in systray (Vista) with a red cross and I have to
wait a long while until the red cross disappears.

I have used win xp x64 for a while now and the only driver that I have not
been able to get is for my Phillips HDD082/17 mp3 player.  Windows media
player will sink it. But My Computer does not  recognize it.  It show in the
Device manager as Phillips and an mtp driver is loaded.
