Deleted AMD processor from Device manager. Popped out Athlon 3500+ Popped in Athlon dual-core 4200+. Windows Vista x64 detected the new processors with no problems.

Hello, x64 is running fine - Vista is next, I have RC1 sitting on a disk, RC2 .ISO has gone into hiding somewhere. Are the differences significant? Suggested installation method, if I got you people correctly, is to run it from inside XP, right?

Hey Guys - Help! My Win X64 refuses to run the Windows Validation Genuine Advantage. This means I cant down load many things, such as Windows Defender, WMP11 etc. It appears it is failing on Active X. How do I fix this?

A very strange behavior. TotalCommander can't see c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc dir. It reads c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ but the content is incomplete, it lacks various files and directories, and so "etc" dir. Accessing it with "cd
