A long story, but I managed to whack the boot record with partition commander. I can get the PC to the "recover" mode using the install CDROM and my fake raid drivers [3rd party install]. Running bootcfg /scan, it finds my windows installation. [No surprise

I'm hearing 32-bit drivers for Vista will be hard to come by for a lot of hardware, does anyone know about 64-bit drivers? Does anyone anticipate 64-bit Vista drivers for notebooks be easier to come by? Any tips on where I can find compatibility information on the web?

I've just downloaded Windows Vista Business version from my MSDN-AA program. I've burned the downloaded image to DVD and installed on my machine successfully, but it was only 32 bit version. I'm not sure how I can install 64 bit version of Vista on my computer.

In typical MS fashion, every time I insert a dvd that has video files on it, media player 10 install dialog box launches - with no apparent way to disable this autolauncher. Problem is, I don't want to install this crap.
