Identify correct version20 Apr 2007 19:45 GMT1
I was wondering if there's a way to identify Windows Server 2003 64bit from
the 64 bit R2?
I tried using winver, but I can't seem to find the information that
identifies a 64 bit-R2 installation from a regular 64bit.

Microsoft setting a poor example for 64 bit hardware and software19 Apr 2007 23:06 GMT5
It is my understanding that to earn a designed for windows vista
label, support for both 32 bit and 64 bit windows must be provided.
64 bit windows has been available for well over a year now, but many
programs available from Microsoft download will not work on 64 bit

I just purchased a new CPU/Motherboard along with a full (OEM) version of
Vista Home Premium 64 bit.  I bought the 64 bit version without really
thinking.  The CPU is 64 bit, so I figured I'd buy the 64 bit version of
Vista.  What a mistake that was!  Very few of the drivers that ...

About KPP19 Apr 2007 19:46 GMT3
What do you think about metamorphic viruses that use rootkit
technologies? I would like to see kind of supervirus spreading on
Win64 platform. It would use all kinds of stealth techiques to hide
itself, and no AV would be able to catch it. That would be cool.

I was logged in as administrator.  I then switched to a user name.  Now I
can't switch back.  Can't even pull up the page that allows one to sign in as
administrator.  I need to add some software.
