I was wondering if there's a way to identify Windows Server 2003 64bit from the 64 bit R2? I tried using winver, but I can't seem to find the information that identifies a 64 bit-R2 installation from a regular 64bit.

I need to install Autodesk Inventor 2008, but when installing i get a message that port 80 is in use, but when checking with netstat -ano, i found no service using port 80. How do i open port 80 in XP x64?

I Purchased Home Premium for around $200. (tax incl.) and then ordered the 64bit ($13) when I replaced my motherboard. I installed the 64bit, but then when I went to activate, it said that my product key was already in use and that I had to purchase another one.

My administrative tools only contains five items and one missing component is the Computer management. Can anyone tell me how to fix this. I looked in Add/Remove?Windows Components... There is no help there.

It is my understanding that to earn a designed for windows vista label, support for both 32 bit and 64 bit windows must be provided. 64 bit windows has been available for well over a year now, but many programs available from Microsoft download will not work on 64 bit

What do you think about metamorphic viruses that use rootkit technologies? I would like to see kind of supervirus spreading on Win64 platform. It would use all kinds of stealth techiques to hide itself, and no AV would be able to catch it. That would be cool.

I've looked for HyperTerminal in Accessories | Communications but was not able to find it. I tried installing it from my XP Pro 64 disk but that option was not available. Is HyperTerminal no longer a part of the OS.

I was logged in as administrator. I then switched to a user name. Now I can't switch back. Can't even pull up the page that allows one to sign in as administrator. I need to add some software.
