I've got a 3.5" Maxtor Diamondmax 10 PATA 133 250GB drive in an external USB enclosure. It has worked previously but Windows has recently stopped detecting it. This is what I've tried so far - should cover the usual suspects: -

I have a a WinXP sp2 machine that sudenly started giving an error loading OS message. I checked the hardware connections, replaced cables, checked jumpers, verified the HD, partition, and everything I can think off. All seems to be okay.

I was able to (apparently) successfully slipstream drivers for my Intel 82801HEM/HBM controller into an XP64 CD so that it completed both the text and gui portion of setup, but it won't boot the operating system, resulting in an 0x0000007B hard drive error. I can't seem to work ...

I already checked out KB889654. I really have no clue what I should make the minimum and maximum pagefile size on a 64-bit server that has 32 GB of physical memory in the server. Should I make the minimum 8 GB and the maximum 34 GB.
