Hi i have a problem when the computer starts up.
Everyting is fine until the windows screen comes up and i have to type my
password. then it just freezes and i have to turn it off and on again.. so
basicly i cant use my computer anymore.

I'm installing a relatively old copy of XP64 (June 2006) for dual boot on a
new (Sony VGN-FZ180E/B) laptop. The OS doesn't have a fraction of the drivers
needed for all of the new hardware, but I figured I could at least get it

2003 Standard is a 32 bit or 64 bit version.

Last night I installed X64 XP PRO service pack 2 after I rebooted
the machine I got the BSOD with the above warning and happened
again when it rebooted. The only thing I have changed  is my video
card it was a ATI powercolor X1600Pro but now is a Gigabyte 8600GT

I've tried the 64-bit version before when Vista was in its beta stages and
i'm wondering if it's improved any in compatability, performance, and whatnot.

I've been using window vista 64bits  almost a year now on this particular
laptop and unable to find the audio driver for it.  Well Today, I finally
found it on HP website for one of their laptop and it works with this

registry "cleaners" to make sure the program is removed.  However, I see in

How do I stop I.E.7 from reloading ctfmon.exe.
I am running XP x64 - I.E. 7.0 - 32bit version.
