My system is only recogizing 2.9 GB out of my 4 GB of RAM with Vista 64.  I
installed Vista 64 only last night, and immediately recognized the problem.  
CPU-Z sees the 4 GB RAM.
I am aware of this issue with the Vista 32, and was surprised to see it with

I was running 1gig using 2 pairs of 256Mb matched modules in 4 slots and
replaced the first pair with a matched pair of 1gig modules which gave a
total of 2.5 gig. The system boots fine in safe mode but not in standard
mode. I went through the boot from CD repair process ...

hello i have a problem...
i am running windows vista ultimate x64 and now windows mediaplayer 11 is
not in earo look but in basic??
no glassy layout just dark and black also when i have multiple applications

It was a very long time I didn't need to boot in safe mode in xp x64,
today I discovered I get a BSOD and found no way to fix the problem.
Do you know what can one do to fix safe mode, possibily having care
not to touch the normal booting configuration please?

I have been using Axcrypt for several years but it does not play well
with xp64 and is a little buggy. I have been waiting patiently for an
update but don't think its coming. To that end, I'm looking for on the
fly encryption options.

I have a plugin on one of my websites that requires Windows Media Player 11
to work.
I recently switched to WinXP x64. When I try to install WMP11, it tells me
1) I am using Windows Server 2003 (not true), and 2) The highest version

Why don't we have separate groups for XP x64 and Vista 64? they are both
very different hence XP and Vista 32 both have their own groups

The first sign of evil was the "search bar" that was automatically included
if you didn't pay attention. But now they've made it mandatory for the Basic
(free) version. No way will they EVER see a dime from me, and I'll now have

We have one PC at work with x64 on  it, however due to lack of drivers our
IT man has put XP pro on it so it dual boots between x64 and x86, both
versions of XP have been installed into the same partition and from studying
this newsgroup I get the impression this could cause some ...

Each version of Dreamscene ever released by Microsoft never worked on my
system. It's sad. You choose to pay more to get the Extras goodies but the
goodies just don't work at all.
I just select a Dream, anyone from the Dreamscene Pack then my screen goes
