Getting rid of an old bootable partition...11 Oct 2007 14:17 GMT18
I used to have XP 32-bit on my C: drive.  Shortly after XP 64-bit came out,
I installed in on D: and started dual-booting.  It didn't take long after
I've completed my migration that I started using x64 exclusively.  My
system's gone through a few hardware changes since then, but ...

assume that this includes the 64-bit version of the Vista or is that on a

Printer Server (64bit OS and 32bit Clients)09 Oct 2007 01:22 GMT1
We have a new Windows 2003 Server (x64) that we want to use as a print
server.  When loading the printer drivers on the servers, it requires a
64-bit version.  When a 32-bit client connects to the printer share it says
it's the wrong version.

Windows Media Player 11 Vista Ultimate x64 DVD will not play08 Oct 2007 15:05 GMT9
From what I understand, Vista Ultimate 64 bit is supposed to have the codec
to play a DVD.  It doesn't work.  When I try to play a copywrited movie DVD,
the FBI warning sign pops up and a list of the chapters pop up in the side
window.  But when it's supposed to get to the menu, ...
Photoshop CS3 or Dreamweaver CS3 on WinXP-64?07 Oct 2007 07:18 GMT4
I know Adobe's trying to convince the world that 64-bit isn't worth it to
defend their decision to stick to 32-bit for CS3, but has anyone had any
problems with Photoshop or Dreamweaver on x64?
Any special x64 patches required?
Is Dual boot allowed using same copy of XP 6407 Oct 2007 02:18 GMT13
I don't want to infringe MS rules and create problems with activation.
I want to run triple boot with two copies of XP64 and one of XP 32 bit. All
on different drives.

Sorry, folks!06 Oct 2007 20:36 GMT15
Ahh, a fit of idiocy lost me the complete Win2K installation - including all
the news and e-mail. Thus, I may forget to respond to posts I'd ticked off
as 'watch' items.
Nothing really catastrophic beyond that, (Not the RAID!) but a major pain
