I am a developer trying to write video for windows drivers for 64 bit vista/XP.
I have written video capture vfw drivers for XP and vista32 successfully,
but cant get the 64 bit versions to work correctly. To be more specific,

I am really interested in upgrading from XP to XP-64 since I do have a system
that is able to support it.
I read about the drivers or lack thereof and I think that the ony one I wont
be able to find right away is the one for my Photosmart 1000 printer by HP.

I recently signed up for the Windows XP Pro X64 bit edition. When I signed up
I was sent a e-mail with the link, I can only download 558.6MB in Firefox and
459MB in Internet Explorer. I have a very high download rate and upload rate
so that is not the issue.

I have recently purchased a new machine with vista 64-bit and in the last
couple of days when I try and connect to my ISP (dial up) it goes thru the
usual process right up to "verifying user name and password", then I get a
"error 1717: The Interace is Unknown.

One of my application written for x64 calls an API xyz which returns an
error invalid parameter. Debugging the disassembly shows that the API checks
the value of R13 register which is 0 and hence it returns invalid parameter.
Does anyone know what R13 register is used for?
