I have an Asus A8V with an integrated Marvell Yukon 88E8001/8003/8010 PCI
Gigabit Ethernet Controller. This card will not connect to the internet no
matter what kind of drivers I use when I was using Linksys routers. Last
week, I connected it  to an Westell DSL modem and I was ...
Missing Memory Diagnostic Tool22 Feb 2008 03:48 GMT6
I have a new system (30 days) and am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit.  After
experiencing several BSODs I decided to run Vista Memory Diagnostic.
However, everytime I try to run it, I get an error message on the screen
where it would start.

I keep getting an error while trying to install vista x64.  This is a new
system and I'm installing xp pro w/sp2 x32 then upgrading to vista x64.
Things go well until the first system restart (the first time it boots from
hd) then I get a stop error message 0x0000007e.  I've ...

How to achieve actual use of my full 4 GB RAM,20 Feb 2008 20:35 GMT13
and not be hornswoggled by Vista SP1 (32bit)?
My Vista Home Premium 32bit reports just 3 GB RAM while I have 4.
Microsoft claims that Vista SP1 (32bit) will report the full amount of RAM
present, 4 GB in my case.
Boot freezes20 Feb 2008 17:46 GMT6
My, and many others, computer freezes during the scroll portion of the boot.
It only does it if the computer was shut down normally. If restarted or
forced to boot from boot menu it will boot normally. I have eliminated any
chance of a heating or warm up parts failure. 1. What ...
Back to multi-booting the RAID - again. . .20 Feb 2008 14:37 GMT11
Over the years, I've kept my multi-boot configurations in a fairly short
leash and they've come and gone with regularity. When I set up the present
64bit system, I wanted a RAID and I wanted to keep it reasonably clean with
just the XP x64 and one Linux (to keep abreast with RAID ...
Is Windows XP 64bit going down the way OS/2 did?20 Feb 2008 06:17 GMT21
My favorite OS was OS/2. I like Windows XP 64 and it looks to me as if it's
going to disappear just like OS/2 did because of lack of hardware support.
Isn't that a shame? :(
x64 Windows Updates20 Feb 2008 03:43 GMT4
Is it possible to install x86 updates on an x64 version of Windows Vista?
I ask because I tried using Office Live Workspace today and it installed
three hotfixes during its installation.  These hotfixes did not specify that
they were for x64 systems in their title, so it made me ...

Works just fine on Vista Ultimate 64 Bit.  I've run version 2 and am now running beta 3 and both worked perfectly.

Ext HD triggers new hardware, drivers not loaded19 Feb 2008 16:35 GMT3
I have had recent problems installing external hd's on Vista 64.    I have
run into problems with USB2.0 as well as eSATA.    The drive will appear
under the device manager under "disk drives".    But  it triggers the new
harware wizard, which can't load a driver, which leads to ...

Geeks,
I have Vista Ultimate x64 as my primary computer networked to a Windows XP
