What's wrong with this picture: Vista 64 Business fresh install with new
machine, disbled all the microsoft crap for the twit users, simply trying to
copy a file of 76,646 KB from an external drive to the C: drive, which works
on XP, is still trying to copy after 504 hours...yes ...

I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit on a new HP notebook.  I make HTML stationery
and need to install the dxtmeta2.dll  The dll is 32 bit and won't install.
I was told to put it in the C:\Windows\syswow64 folder and turn off  the
User Account Control.

purchase of packaged software. Has anyone used the current Anytime Upgrade
process to upgrade a 64 bit version of Vista to another 64 bit version (i.e.

upgrade to take advantage of my processor with the 64-bit edition. I'm
installing it on a RAID 0 setup which the installer recognizes. I remformat

What firmware is it asking me to update? I already have the latest Bios

migrated from XP a sony vaio w/ vista home premium installed. I would like to
go back to XP on this sony vaio. Does anyone have advice on how to
successfully do this and what are the gliches to watch out for?

We've just migrated to using shared network printers on a Server 2003.
We have 64-bit Windows XP workstations, so we have the 32bit and 64bit
drivers loaded on the server.
 We're having some printing problems that seem mostly prevalent on the
MUI language packs for SP1 available on WU23 Apr 2008 12:48 GMT3
SP1 language packs are now showing up on Windows Update, along with another
Dreamscene content pack and Windows sound scheme. :)
