Just attended the Microsoft "Heroes Happen here" 2008 product-line roll-out
in Seattle.  Developer Track.
It was worthwhile simply on the basis of the free software I received:
1. Enterprise Server 2008, 32-bit and 64-bit versions - 1-year trial license

I hate Media Center...Its a new sony desktop, and everytime I start media
center I get SYS stopped responding. I hope someone can tell me how to fix

I don't know so be easy with me. I have Vista Home Premium
In the Administrative tools  of the start menu it has Reliability and
Performance monitor, in there it has resource overview. In the CPU section
it has 2 levels, I guess that one is the amount of CPU that is being used at

Well I was going to wait a week or 2 before installing it again,, Yes I was
one of the few that got caught last month when MS mistakenly put the beta
version up on WU site woke up to a black screen :) had to repair system
using CD.

I have recently installed the 64 bit version of vista home premium. After I
installed 4GB RAM (compatible with the motherboard) the BIOS ony registers
3.2GB so have decided to try an update the BIOS but not having a FDD. I have
tried to make a bootable CD with no luck. Any ideas?

We have some machines we are going to run Virtual Server 2005 R2 on that
have more that 4GB of memory so we want to upgrade to use Server 2003
Enterprise 64 bit and have a few questions:
- Does the 64 bit version use more memory that the 32 bit version?

I was poking around and noticed the following:
Administrative Tools >  Services (%SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc)
However the following exists as well: (%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\services.msc)
So, is Vista 64 by default using the 32bit versions, or are the 64bit

I know this is a topic that's been beaten to death, and I've read a lot
of the discussions comparing these two.  What's interesting (and
confusing) is the lack of consensus - some like xp64 better (because
it's faster and uses less resources) and others prefer vista (almost as
