I bought a full 64-bit capable machine a couple of years ago, and the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta seems to say that I won't have too many problems if I install the 64-bit Win 7. I say "seems to say" because in some instances it suggests I check the manufacturers web-site.

Ok, I have an ASUS ASN-SLI (?? Not at home atm to verify) 64-bit mobo with a AMD 64 3800 CPU. I was trying to get x64 XP on the system but alas, it can't detect the freaking SATA Drive! Ok, no problem. I know I need to grab the chipset drivers from ASUS.

According to several websites and blogs world wide, Microsoft has already completed the beta and RC's stage for Windows 7. Its newest build is now 7600 (Win7 RC is build 7100) and was compiled last friday and is possibly the build that will be RTM (Release To Manufacture)
