I have a Compaq Presario - Series 2940, Model #1610
Laptop. I need to reinstall Windows-95. I don't have a
recovery disk, but I have a Win-95 boot disk and the Win-
95 Companion with USB support CD & Key Code to install

Try to reinstall windows 95. Computer states product ID #
is invalid. This is the same disk that came with the
computer when it was boughtnew back in 1998. This is old

Have tried unsuccessfully to load ver. 4.0 up to 5.5 of IE into my
Fujitsu notebook running Win 95. Each try results in various error

I have Win95 on my new laptop with win98 on top of it. I
want to include the Win95 when I sell my old laptop. The
only way I can do this is to remove it from my new

Problem: Regedit runs in Windows for one second and shuts down.
Runs as normal in Safe mode.--Nothing in Run, RO,RS, etc. that

McAfee finds no viruses, Spybot finds no problems.

When I try to defragment the hard drive it remains at 0%
complete for hours on end.  Also when I check the
freespace available on the hard drive it claims to be
empty although I know that this is not the case.
