MY old pc has for for several years run on windows/office
95 without many major problems.
However Explorer has now decided not to recognise Excel or
Word file types.

I'm trying to install Windows 95 on a clean drive using the Startup disk
and I can't access my CDROM drive from the prompt.  Says it's not a
valid drive.  But I have 2, the D drive (CD) and E drive (Burner).  Any
ideas what I might be doing wrong?  Any info would be appreciated.

I have a problem with Windows 95 the problem is that when
initiates the system to spool32.exe seems a warning of
error caused by a called program

After using the "Find" tab to locate missing
files/folders, I notice the term used in the search gets
placed on a dropdown menu, supposedly for later use. What
if I don't want the term to be seen? Is there a way to

I have a compaq presario 4808 that come with a 32mb chip,
i bought two 128mb 66mhz chips.. i can put one in just
fine- windows boots and everything.. 160mb...  when i take
out the 32mb and replace it with the second 128mb 66mhz

Church computer.  Always standalone until now.  Former
pastor fiddled with it a little, but otherwise it has been

I have an older computer with Win 95 and a serial port for
the mouse instead of a ps/2 port.  I installed a serial
mouse and search for new hardware.  The computer detects
the hardware but gives an error code 28 in device manager

We have a Dell with Windows 95.  It was running really
slow so we did a scan disk, defragmented, and ran a virus
scan.  There were no errors or viruses found.  We then
went to shut down the system and restart.  During restart

When Windows 95 loads up I get an error message that says
I'm missing an emsw file and it is attached to a shell32
file. Any idea what this is and how do I solve it. After I
click OK about 3 times it goes away until next time I load

When I try to download a fix from Microsoft I get a Plugin
Error pop up box.  It says "The plugin did not initialize
properly".  Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hope someone can direct me...
While shutting down Windows 95 on my home computer, after
hitting Start, Shutdown, the PC just hangs and I have to
hit the off button to shut down.  Do I have to reload

i have mistakenly deleted the rundll32.exe file and
consequently cannot use my control panel.
i use windows 95 ,any suggestions?
