I lost my certificate of authencity and my win95 won't
allow the set up to complete after I ran the recovery disc

    I tried the Volumeid.exe program from the
www.sysinternals.com website, but no luck.  A suggestion
was made to boot the computer with a boot floppy, and then
run Volumeid again.

I started to get this error when trying to open any application  "Explorer
caused a general protection fault in module gdi.exe at 001:00009763. Anyone
knows how to repair?

Some clever cloggs has changed the wording of the safe to turn off message
on a computer at some point, where is this text actually stored, I'd like to
change it back!!

I have an older computer that I am trying to reformat and
reinstall 95 on. I created a boot disk and used it to re
format and partition the hard drive but when I tried to

When I Ctrl Alt Del a dialog window shows what applications
are running. Can anyone tell me which ones need to be
running and which ones I can turn off? There are at least
20 or so. I'm not sure, but could they be slowing down my

the time I was offered an upgrade but didn't avail myself
of the opportunity.  Is there anyway of upgrading or
