I got my computer 2nd-hand from a friend. The Windows
password window comes up every time, & I cancel or close
it.  I would like to change the password & settings so that
it can't be bypassed w/cancel or close. If that's not

About a week ago, in the middle of connecting to my ISP, up
pops this Windows window that looks like an empty-screened
(black) monitor. It's labelled "Pre Dial-up Terminal" and I
have to press/click key F7 to continue, or F3 to cancel. I

It shows in with the proper drivers, etc (no disabled
