I purchased a used ibm computer from another compnay and
they had their dos point of sale software running under
windows 95 withing windows. I do not need this programs on
my computer. How do I safely get rid of it off of the

I was trying to clean up an old 486SX that had windows 95 on it.  I
reformatted my hard drive thusly:
started computer, went into windows 95
exited win95 to the dos prompt via the start button

Just posted a message last night and both responses and
the message are not available. Help.....

what happens when you install the newer windows... will my
files get transferred over or do I need to save them to
disk first?

I am running windows 95 but every time I start up I get
the error message that the a file is wrong in the
registry. I don't have the original back-up diskette.

I have a disk for our motor home fuel injection hardware
it is windows 95 it will not run on my win xp that I have
in my lap top. is there anyway I can make it run in order
to use the porgram to adjust the fuel injection hardware

My on line bank says I need to upgrade to 5.5 or higher.

I was trying to upgrade to Windows 98 from 95, somehow,
while trying to delete windows 95 i only deleted the
win.com file. So I was stuck in MS-DOS and unable to get
back to Windows. I then formatted C: and now cannot access

 I attempted to run Disk Defragment and recieved and
received pop-up stating I need to run ScanDisk. I ran
ScanDisk and attempted to run Defrag again and received
same pop-up to run ScanDisk.

I was installing a new pc cam that I got for christmas and
it told me it needed the windows 98 disc to get something
it needed. I couldn't find it at the time and continued.
Once I found the cd, I guess i Reinstalled windows98. Now

COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS 95 WITH INTERNET EXPLORER WILL NOT
START EVEN IN SAFE MODE

I'm trying to run an application that says a needed file
(WCT32F.DLL) is missing.  I went to the Microsoft website
and can't find this .dll file anywhere.  I also went to
the application website and they don't have it either.
