and claims to be P&P. (State of the art, under a grand, in
Dec. of '97.) I had attempted to install the current Turbo

How can I get a stand-alone W98 laptop to do a Client for Microsoft
Networks login and browse the network? I get a Windows logon & an "unable
to browse the network" message. This machine has installed:

MS KB article 175629 indicates that an updated version of
esdi_506.pdr, version 4.00.1119 was to be made available.  
I have not been able to find this version -- the latest
that I can locate after extensive search is 4.00.1116.

Somehow, my cookies folder has file called Index.dat. It's
