Whenever I attempt to download from the microsoft.com
site, my computer tries to open it as a pdf file and the
download fails. I get a message that the file doesnt begin
with %pdf. I dont get a window asking which program I want

I need to know if I how to install the k6 update files on
window 95. I can not get to windows 95 start up before I
get the IOS error and restart computer.

Does anyone know how to disable the callback feature that Windows 95 uses by
default.
In Windows 2000/XP it's real simple. You can just unselect the LCP
Extensions for PPP.

I have looked through the message boards and found a
number of people with this problem (very old threads!),
but no solutions so far. If anyone can help, we're really

Is there anyway to install Internet Explorer 6 on a
Windows 95 machine? Every time I try to run the install
it says that I need a Windows 2000 machine then stops the
install. Thanks

I am trying to load Nero 6 for use with Windows 95. Nero
6 specifies that it is only compatible with the 95b
version. I do not want to upgrade windows, because this
is an older machine that runs great.

My windows 95 hasn't been turned on for about 5 months.
Was working fine. Turned it on - it came up the windows
95 screen flashed on, then disappeard and the c:> promt

My system is having problems and I would like to delete everything from the
Hard Disk and start fresh.
Can someone tell me the best way to do this. I want to have Windows 95 OSR2
stored on the disk too so I only need to use the CD one time.

Does Microsoft offer free updates to there specific
operating systems? I need version B or, I guess even, C
to run Nero 6.

Do you people have calendars at home? Do you have time
machines? WTF are you people thinking? It's 2004, NOT
1995. GEEZ. Spend a few dollars, hell at least go to
Windows 98.
