Someone asked me to troubleshoot some problems they are
having with a couple of computers.
OS is Win 95.  The computers are used almost exclusively
for various children's games.  The problem is that they

me to, and nothing worked.  When I typed in "type
config.sys" in - it came back saying file not found.  I

Son deleted files by accident now every time i switch pc
on it says that files missing or corrupt and asks for

While trying to install Win 95 floppy version on an old
computer I get a corrupted CAB file message with Disk 1-
SETUP floppy in drive A.  Is the problem on the floppy
disk?  Or somewhere else?  Can i get a download of just

I am maintaining some older computers in a school and the
hard disks are becoming quite full. They do not have
internet access so I have deleted the contents of
the "temporary internet files" folder (they used to have

I am re-installing a laptop with windows 95. I used to have win98, but since
it is a very old laptop with little memory, I was advised to run win95. It
works fine now and is in fact much faster.

My kids' computer has been running a bit slow for a couple of months,
but when it took 2 1/2 hours to install game software (Jumpstart
Spelling), I realized things were out of hand.  After a bit of
experimentation, it turned out to be the old version of Norton AntiVirus

My topic here is to discuss why microsoft does not implement the ability to
utilize at OS-Setup two disks as raid0/striping.
Yes I know, raid0 is not safe, or at least is just as safe a a 1-disk which
is the most popular solution for 99% of the users in the desktop computing.
