Hello,  I am trying to fix a friends computer for her.
Besides some of the other problems, including the CD-ROM
driver and sound card driver needing to be reinstalled I
discovered something else that I am not sure how to handle.

Modem is recognized and working. When i start a dialup connections (i tried
with different ISPs) the call starts, the remote modem answers, but before
