I am currently trying to set up a network between a
windows 95 computer an windows ME laptop inorder to
transfer files from one to the other.
I found some instructions from a website which has helped

My daughter took over my old W95 computer and we bought a
new keyboard/mouse set for her birthday. The keyboard
works fine but the computer says there is no mouse, even
though we have installed the drivers which came with it

I get this message when i start 95 for the first time device IOS failed to
initaliz. Windows Protection Error. You must reboot your computer. I found
the fix on Compaq's website because I can't get into safe mode. THe question
is they tell me to put the file I downloaded from ...

Is there a possible way to have Windows 95 network with Windows XP? I made
the Network Setup floppy disk on the XP but it says the Wizard is only for
Windows 98 and up.

I have a dual boot with XP and 95. My network Card was made and installed
after 95 so it doesn't have it in it's list of adapters. I used XP to find
out what the adapter is and downloaded and installed it on 95. buut whenever
I start 95 it says that adapter is not working ...

I just ran my quick restore CD to reinstall my Windows 95.  When I restart
my computer after the installation was complete, I received an error saying
"windows protection error - you will need to restart your computer" when I
restart it says the same thing.

I heard there is a tool to install windows95 operating
system only with disks wich replace de CD, can someone

I put linux on my win 95 comp. and got rid of the win95
partition. win95 wont remake its own partition.

I have lost wordpad.exe and cannot find where it can be

so I put the CD in my CD-ROM Drive but Windows 95 Says to put  the letter of

Hello. I have recently installed Win95 and it cannot startup, after
installing, after the "Win95 is starting for the first time" screen, it says
that is has a problem with the IOS controller. I formatted and installed
again, and the same happened. Any suggestion?

I was recently given an old Toshiba laptop which has win98
on it and only 8megs of memory and is not upgradeable.
When I first got it, it booted up fine. Now that I have
played with it when I try to boot it I get a message

I have acquired an old PC running Win 95. It does not
detect the mouse. Any suggestions as to how to
troubleshoot and fix this. Everything else looks OK.
