i am trying to wipe my computer. i heard i do this by reformatting c. if so,
will my os be affected. if it will be removed, how do i re-install it. i have
a system cd version 2.5 (gateway 2000 ) and a cd labeled microsoft windows95
with usb support. all help will be appreciated.

as you may know I prepared a old laptop for my Brother (See previous
postings).  He is home today and had hoped he could use his SanDisk Cruzer?
Mini 128MB.  Now looking at Sandisk site' this stick can't be used for W95,
unless somebody knows how to help me in this matter.

I started to download Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.05, but I notice it
doesn't mention W95. It lists W98 in minimum requirements. Will it work, or
do I need to download an earlier version to work with my W95? Thanks.

I've booted to Safe Mode and stopped everything except Explorer (including
the Screensaver) but I STILL get the "Scandisk has restarted 10 times etc
etc" message. I have to run this overnight as the machine is a work one. What
can I do further to make scandisk work?

I am trying to clean-up a laptop for my brother, which I inherited from
work.
The laptop used to be a NETWORK laptop and has windows 95 (4.00.950.C) on

Trying to scandisk a W95 machine - I've booted into Safe Mode, turned
off everything except Explorer, and turned off the screen saver. I'm

I believe I screwed something up and now my mouse is frozen *all* the time.

Help! All of a sudden my cd-rom does not work!  I don't know much about
