Is there a decent Notepad alternative for Windows 95.
I don't like WordPad, but I would like to use something
with a similar style, and without a maximum file size limit
.

Do later versions of dll files work perfectly for files
that were designed to use earlier versions, with windows
95 and current dlls in mind.

immediately a message appeared.  "could not read hard
drive" it then asked me to please shut down (setup for 98)

I was trying to get rid of useless files in windows 95.
When somehow or another program manager started. Now
every time windows starts in starts as well. Going to
