Question on removing critical files before overinstalling Windows9812 Jan 2005 15:41 GMT1
I've noticed when WindowsXP does a repair install, it quickly
deletes some files before starting the overinstall. I'm sure these
are critical files that need replacing if windows becomes corrupt.
I've overinstalled Windows98 several times, with and without success.

Is there a way to bring up a terminal window and/or issue modem
commands AFTER a PPP/dialup session has been established under
win95? By this I mean after the terminal window has been closed
and a dialup session started?

I have an old Hitachi Series E notebook. This is being given away and as it
