I've noticed when WindowsXP does a repair install, it quickly
deletes some files before starting the overinstall. I'm sure these
are critical files that need replacing if windows becomes corrupt.
I've overinstalled Windows98 several times, with and without success.

I am having trouble downloading all the critical updates on the Windows 95
download page, does anyone know of alternative download locations?

Is there a way to bring up a terminal window and/or issue modem
commands AFTER a PPP/dialup session has been established under
win95? By this I mean after the terminal window has been closed
and a dialup session started?

Does Win95C (OSR2.5) have the Y2k bug?
Or was the patch built in?
Is it safe to reinstall Win95C (after a crash) without rolling back the BIOS

If so, what are the differences between the two?
