  I had a computer with win95 come to me to get fixed. there was a
worm on it and it only had a modem which wouldnt let me connect to
download an antivirus. so i took out the HDD and put it in another
stable machine and ran AVG. I found about 200 duplicates of 2 or 3

In a Win95a machine, is there a log or record kept on the hard drive
that shows the time and day the computer was turned on and booted up
...say during the last week or so?

When I go to a DOS window or DOS prompt or boot directly into DOS and type the <PATH> command I get the following path:
C:\>PATH    C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;c:\windows;c:\windows\command
I have removed the PATH command in Autoexec.bat and Dosstart.bat but still get the ...

On my windows 95 computer whenever windows boots it gives an error saying
disk.id file is missing. After that another occures where it says that
win.ini cannot find the file disk1.id. I would like to know what this means
and how to fix it if it is even important enough to bother ...
