We have a cd with backup files from a previous version of Windows. Now, when
I try to restore the files, the computer shuts down in order to protect
itself from a serious error.
Does anyone understand what the problem is? Can you give me any suggestions

Sorry for the capital text; but I've aged an I notice I see the text
much better when it's capitalized; this with or without my glasses.
