When trying to defragment, the computer appears to be
working, but I never see any results.  I can start to
defragment at night and in the morning it appears that the
computer is still working on it, but shows no results.

defunct.  Win98se is on my hard drive but I don't have the
product code to enable me to re-install it after a virus
screwed me up.  How can I get the product code?  Right now

Win98-SE - If I click and open my computer, the puter tries to scan A:
for an inserted disk, everything is fine but just the clicking of it,
plus the pause of having to wait for it to finish is really getting on

Some one please help me, before I have a meltdown!
Here is my problem:
I recently had cable internet service installed. I found

Can anyone tell me how I fix a problem with my hard
drive. Its ment to be a 6.4 gig drive but after I
installed Win98 it now said its a 2.1 gig. Its also
configured as FAT32.

running Win98 on a 40 GB or higher capacity HDD will damaged the hard
drive. Is this true? He adviced me to go for Windows XP which I am not
keen on. He mentioned this after a relatively new 40 GB hard drive

Hi, my HD is a 6.4gig but the system is telling me that
its a 2.1gig. I have tried using fdisk to see where the
problem is but it tells me that when I display the
partition information. It reads:
