I am trying to install usb ports on my computer that had
none.  When I installed the driver then put the ports in
the cpu, it asked me to put in my windows98 cd.  I got
this computer from work and have no windows98 cd to put

Say Ben; I've tried this out,but,there is nothing in my
regedit that says anything about IDE's.Am I missing
something?Do I need to reinstall Windows?
Start regedit, expand the following key and look in the

when I start he cp the window tells me to touch any key to

After running for hours it still goes back to the
beginning.  Keeps cycling at times up to 30%, but then
goes back and starts all over....usually shows 10% done.  
What needs to be done?

The last time my Samsung Combo SM-304B DVD/CDR drive
worked, I was trying to burn an audio CD.  When I tried to
close the session, it froze, and since then the drive has
not been able to read any discs.  I simply get the error

Trying to install Window's 98 second edition on a new
system and the setup stops (the last 4 attempts) at the

I tried to install the correct display driver. After

I had to reload my wife's computer after it crashed.  One
of the things I loaded, from a floppy, was a game called
Taipei.  It wouldn't run, saying that a DLL file, called
Aboutwep.dll, was missing.  I loaded the floppy again and
