I had a good workung Win98 system with one floppy Disk (A:)
. I installed a second floppy on my system (and set it free
with the bios setting), but Win98 does not recognize the
new floppy. In explorer it is only possible to access to

On an older version 4160 Compaq machine had the hard disk
cleared.  Installed Dos, which allowed me to get the
window version 95 back.  Then installed my win 98
version.  Now I am left with the preplexing problem of it

I have run scandisk several times and attempted to repair
a bad cluster. I get the message "cluster 1080981
currently unused but should be marked as bad so windows
does not attempt to store data in it in the future". How

As I have a 180GB hard drive that only detects 137GB.

I have a computer at work which a few people use, the
operating system is Windows 98 and it has some mapped
drives on it. One mapped drive contains sensitive data,
is there a way of password protecting this mapped drive

I think I read in some post or link somewhere (i think it was R. Badour's)
about basically how to "optimize" partitions, particularly Drive C: (Windows
98) installed. Coz I'm planning to substantially reduce (compress?) the size
of my C: drive before I "Image-burn" it to a 700mb CDR ...

When the first time I installed Win98 I could able to
install it successfully. But when i fdisk the system and
try to reinstall the win98 after scandisk and preparing
list of files to be copies setup is displaying a

Hello,
i'm attempting to install winNT server on a
win98 computer in a dual boot config, however i'm unable
to do so because NT setup wont recognise the FAT32 system

i had all my thumbnails humming along quite nicely, until
a demo program I had expired--now no matter what
applications i associate the file types with, i only get
icons instead of thumbnails of my bmp, wmf, gif, jpg
