Unusual Disk Write Error27 Aug 2003 22:14 GMT1
When I try to load a program I receive “Unable to write to
disk in drive C:  Data or files may be lost” (HD Seagate
9GB 32% full).  I could press key to continue and it will,
then error, then press key it runs, then error etc.  When

Probaly has been asked 100 times but I will ask anyway.
Running Win 98se with Spacewalker C98t mainboard. Just
installed maxtor 160gb HD with Maxtor PCI 133 Card. C Mos
reconises it no problem but windows only see it as 7.68

I recently purchased a new 76.8GB hard disk drive, and my
bios sees it as that, but when I boot to Windows 98 boot
disk, and try to fdisk or format, it sees the drive at
about 7.5GB.  How can I get Windows 98 to see the correct

Did Scandisk in Safe Mode. Did then a break with "abort"

Regedit and msconfig close right after I open them. There only  on the

file jdbgmgr.exe now a friend tells me I need this file,

Please help! I am missing two files that I need to
download programs. They are program.exe. and 'XLSFILE' i I
have tried everything I know even the recovery disk. Some
how these two have been lost since I had Best Buy install

I've had so many problems with hardware not being detected
or current drivers being unavailable in Windows 95 that I
decided to upgrade to Windows 98se. I didn't like the
performance problems with ME, and don't want to upgrade to

I read the MS article 151911 and I re-installed the
NOIDE.inf file as one of the fixes but it did not help. My
C drive is still using MS-DOS file system.
The driver I have loaded is the Intel 82371 AB/EB Pci Bus
