all the holograms and everything)that came out of a new
wrapper with an old computer.  The old hard drive slowly
crashed, now I have to reinstall Windows.  Only someone

new unit. a message popped on screen about a set up disk.

I am having problems reproducing the issue in Windows 98 SE where the
ATX powersupply is cut before the harddisk cache is completely
flushed. Microsoft has created a patch that delays the shutdown and

Every time I try to defrag it runs a few seconds and
says "drive contents changed  restarting"  Because of this
it can't get through more than 10% of the disk.  I have
tried to do a Clean Boot and tried it in Safe Mode

Hi,  I loaded my HP with the new system disk and then
decided to go with the fat 32.  I think it partitioned the
c drive into two parts.  I now have a d drive. Is this
what happens when you use fat 32?  Also, I just installed

While I can defrag my D drive, the defrag tool sticks at
0% complete for days while trying to defrag the C drive.  
Why?

I AM USING A WINDOWS 98 OPERATING SYSTEM THAT HAS COREL
WORDPERFECT, HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THERE IS A MSWORD PROGRAM
CONTAINED IN MY WINDOWS 98 PROGRAM WHICH I CANNOT ACCESS.

I've got a strange problem. I've got a system running Windows 98SE and
it will not see the CD Drive in Windows.  Its in the BIOS, it reads it
when it boots up, I can see it load it when it boots up, it boots into
windows and its there in Device Manager, but its NOT in My Computer ...

Following the MS Support Article Q255/8/67.asp, I opted
not to repartion and keep the single drive. However ,
using the command "format c: /s" yields the message:
Insufficient memory to load system files.

I have the "invalid system disk, replace and hit any
key" error along with the windows 98 cd and boot floppy,
however i cannot boot the computer from the floppy or cd
to use the command SYS C:.
