i an looking for windows 98 2nd edition as i am unpleased
with xp i do not like it my computer freezes up on me and
i can't do anything with this. i can't run games and
programs on xp that i can run on 98 some one give me some

sorry i wasnt specific enough on that last post, heres the
deal...I accidently deleted a couple of files out of my
windows folder and when i restarted i got the "Invalid
system disk, replace and hit any key" error. before i got

I just bought a new CD Drive that need minimum Win98 SE
and I have Win 98 1st-do I need to upgrade and how do I do

I have a 20gig hard drive running Win 2000 Pro.  However,  
only 8 gigs are running in 1 partition.  Can I partition
the other 11 gigs with Win98? (From a Win 98 Upgrade of
Win 95).  And how would I go about it?

I have an older computer (k6-2 400, 128mb ram) and for one
reason or another, windows is recognizing my 8 gb HDD, as
only a three gig. do i need to partition? or is there a
driver, bug fix, etc.

Trying to defrag and get error message that is keeping the
defrag from completing its work. Have used  ScanDisk, but
that won't work for same reason. Located the error  in d d
drive C - extrac32exe. I thought I had  deleted

My OS is Win 98SE. I understand from Microsoft web page
that I should have DMA enabled for my disks, but going to
Disks Drive Properties I do not see any box for DMA. I
have 2 hard drives: Fujitsu MPE3204AT and WD 12 00JB-

I was performing an upgrade and my system files became
currupted. I have been using compressed drives and I was
getting Warning messages. ANyway, I have a backup stored
on another HDD. I wanted to copy the files from the HDD

I've tested every OS of Microsoft except Windows Server
2003, (from 3.1 to XP Home and Pro.). And the most
versatile for me is Windows 98. Gaming is my favorite
area and Win. 98 is the only one that runs every game

Does anyone know in which cab file the marlett.ttf file is
stored in on Win98? The MS support site only tells you
where it is on Win95 and I don't fancy trawling through
all of the cab files in the win98 directory on my HD or CD

I am unable to defrag my computer.
In scandisk, it goes back and forth
from checking file allocation to checking
folders and will never complete.  In

I'm trying to enable DMA access on my ThinkPad 570/E,
running Win 98SE. The DMA box is available, but doesn't
stay checked after I reboot.

I have just installed Win98 (clean install) but my
computer only recognizes the HDD as a 1.7GB rather than a
10GB can it be fixed with out a restall? (What is wrong)
also I can get in to my BIOS when the computer boots up
